Michael has years of experience beginning his career with the Military Police in 2009. Since then, he earned his Law enforcement certification in 2011 and has dedicated his career to protecting communities, responding to emergencies, and upholding the law with professionalism, integrity, and strong leadership.

Michael was raised by Randy and Darla Jordan northwest of McCook. Growing up, he learned the value of hard work with jobs as a farm hand, at KC Motor and Electric, and the Nebraska Bull Service. He attended McCook Community College before joining the U.S Army Reserve, where he served in the Militay Police Corps and developed a strong commitment to law enforcement and public service.

Michael started with the McCook Police Department. Shortly after, he married Nicole, who was raised in Frontier County by her parents, Bob and Cindy McConville. Together they have 4 children.

In 2024, Michael and Nicole were able to make Frontier County their permanent home when Michael was offered the opportunity to serve as Sheriff.

Today they're raising their family on the same farm Nicole grew up on, continuing a proud 6th generation tradition. Michael's deep roots to the county, combined with his dedication to family and service, reflect his long-term commitment to protecting and serving the people of Frontier County.
